Small Steps, Big Impact: Light for All’s Medical Mission Success
From November 9 to 11, 2024, Light for All conducted a three-day medical mission in the communities of Pinyahan and San Gabriel, Payatas, in Quezon City. This initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services and promote health education, empowering residents with the knowledge and tools needed for a healthier and more fulfilling life.
The event was made possible through the invaluable partnership with Thanksgiving Australia, whose volunteers have consistently supported Light for All’s outreach missions. Among the dedicated team were Dr. Seham Fahmy, a general practitioner, and Dr. Maria Gayed, a podiatrist, both of whom generously shared their expertise to benefit the local community.
During the mission, a total of 43 general patients and 6 podiatric patients received personalized medical care. Patients were provided with necessary treatments, medications, and advice on preventive health practices. The initiative emphasized inclusivity, ensuring that individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups had access to compassionate and culturally sensitive healthcare services.
Light for All remains committed to fostering a healthier and more equitable community through collaborative efforts like this, where every individual is valued, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
