Light for All Foundation Family Retreat: Strengthening Bonds and Building Memories

Light for All Foundation (LFA) values the role of family in fostering a thriving and harmonious community. LFA believes that nurturing strong family relationships brings numerous benefits, including improving social connections and emotional well-being. With this in mind, the organization hosted a family retreat from November 30 to December 1, 2024, designed to provide families with an opportunity to spend quality time together, strengthen their bonds, and create cherished memories away from the distractions of daily life.

The retreat took place at St. Michael Retreat House in Rizal, bringing together 170 family members from diverse backgrounds. They were joined by 28 Australian volunteers, whose enthusiasm and dedication helped ensure the success of the event.

A wide range of activities was thoughtfully planned to cater to participants of all ages and roles within the family. Discussion sessions were organized into two groups—parents and children—to address age-appropriate and role-specific topics. These sessions fostered open communication, mutual understanding, and shared learning.

Participants also enjoyed engaging in fun-filled games, which encouraged teamwork and created a lively atmosphere. On the second day, families had the chance to unwind and bond while swimming at Fortune Pool Resort, adding an element of relaxation and recreation to the retreat experience.

The LFA Family Retreat emphasized inclusivity, ensuring that all participants felt welcome and valued. The event succeeded in its goal of providing families with a supportive environment to strengthen their connections and create memories that will last a lifetime.
