Songs, Smiles, and Hope: A Memorable Dental Mission and Christmas Activity at CHILD Haus
On November 26, 2024, the Light for All (LfA) Foundation, alongside Australian youth volunteers and local volunteers, brought the Christmas spirit to the patients of CHILD (Center for Health Improvement and Life Development) Haus.
The day was filled with joy and meaningful lessons about the celebration and significance of Christmas. The Australian volunteers delighted everyone with a heartwarming puppet show, while the local volunteers showcased their talents by singing Christmas carols. The patients of CHILD Haus joined in the festivities, sharing their own talent through a touching performance of the song “Star ng Pasko.”
Fifteen families received Christmas grocery packs, and children were gifted oral hygiene kits. On December 4, 2024, the team returned to offer dental services. There were 6 patients who received free tooth extractions, 8 patients got their teeth filled, 4 patients got their teeth cleaned and they received essential medications.
This collaborative and inclusive event celebrated the spirit of unity, compassion, and the shared humanity that defines the holiday season. It brought smiles, hope, and a sense of belonging to everyone involved, transcending differences and emphasizing that the joy of Christmas is for all.
