Game, Not Just Competition, Dribbling for Joy, Avoiding Vices: Season 2 of our youth sports league isn’t just about competition—it’s about fostering individual growth. Here, we teach the promising future leaders to not only play but to find meaning in every moment. Through our training, we highlight the value of happiness and dedication in every dribble and pass.

Alongside our beloved basketball programs, we’re now introducing volleyball this season to offer even more opportunities for youth girls to get involved and excel in sports. This expansion reflects our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where every young athlete can find their passion, develop their skills, and build lifelong friendships. Whether it’s spiking a volleyball or sinking a basketball shot, we’re dedicated to supporting and empowering our future stars in both sports!

Last June 1 – July 31, 2024, LfA again started creating a community where passion for sports intertwines with lifelong skills that pave the way for a bright future. This program was led by Light for All Foundation team in Quezon City, with the help of our very committed youth co-facilitators. Each week we provide life-skills lessons, from learning effective goal-setting techniques to navigating setbacks and building relationships, every aspect of our league is designed to empower participants and enrich their personal growth journey.

To ensure fair play and professional officiating, LfA hired registered referees. This approach guarantees adherence to the rules and provides valuable education for youth regarding the game’s regulations. Furthermore, LfA recognizes and values the cooperation and talent of each participant, which is why medals, certificates, and trophies were awarded as tokens of our appreciation. We also awarded those youths that brought light to other participants’ life. Those who showed kindness even nobody is watching and those who genuinely offered a helping hand without being asked. LfA encourages these kinds of acts to spread the warmth and compassion to the community they are part of.

We strive to set examples of positive behavior and active living, promoting discipline and a healthy lifestyle to steer clear of undesirable habits. Together, we’re not just shaping athletes, but nurturing tomorrow’s leaders.
