Building Stronger Projects: Insights from the Project Concept Note Workshop

Light for All Foundation recently hosted a free Project Concept Note Development workshop as part of its Professional Learning Series. Held on November 30, 2024, the workshop aimed to help professionals—particularly social workers and psychologists—hone their skills in planning impactful projects, securing funding, and communicating ideas clearly. These skills are crucial for crafting ethical, culturally sensitive interventions that drive meaningful community change.

The session was led by Dr. Soliman Girgis, an expert with extensive experience in NGOs and a strong background in writing project concept notes. With years of experience, Dr. Girgis was well-positioned to offer invaluable insights to the participants. A total of 14 professionals attended the one-day workshop, and their active engagement—evidenced by the many questions they asked—highlighted their eagerness to learn.

By the end of the workshop, participants were equipped to draft more comprehensive and structured concept notes, which are key to attracting potential funders and partners. The session also encouraged collaboration and idea-sharing, allowing attendees to strengthen their project concepts and refine their plans for success.
