Hope and Joy: Light for All’s Christmas Activity at Marillac Hills

Marillac Hills – National Training School for Girls (NTSG) serves as a sanctuary for minor girls aged 7 to 17 who are survivors of sexual abuse, human trafficking, or are in conflict with the law. The center provides residential care, rehabilitation, temporary shelter, and protective custody while addressing the girls’ needs through necessary interventions.

The Light for All (LfA) Foundation, dedicated to advocating for girls in need, has expanded its outreach beyond its own shelter. This commitment led LfA to its second year of spreading love and hope to the residents of Marillac Hills. On November 28, 2024, the foundation organized an early Christmas celebration to bring joy to the 138 girls at the center. The event was made possible with the invaluable support of Australian volunteers, who partnered with the LfA team to ensure its success.

The girls showcased their talents through singing and dancing performances, bringing smiles to everyone in attendance. The Australian volunteers contributed significantly by teaching the girls a Christmas song, leading craft activities, and conducting a storytelling session about Christmas.

During the storytelling session, the volunteers shared an inspiring message that despite the challenges they face, there is a purpose and reason for their journey, encouraging the girls to remain hopeful and resilient.

To make the event even more special, LfA and the volunteers donated oral hygiene kits to the girls and provided snacks for everyone to enjoy. This meaningful event highlighted the spirit of giving and hope, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of the girls at Marillac Hills. With such initiatives, Light for All Foundation continues to spread love, support, and encouragement to those who need it most.
