Bringing Healthcare to the Community: Light for All Foundation Joins Hospitals on Wheels Program

On March 2 and 3, 2024, the Light for All Foundation participated in the “Bringing the Hospital Closer to the Community / Hospital on Wheels” program. This initiative focused on providing free medical services, including operations to remove tumors, hernias, and treat cleft lips, among other conditions (“Operasyon Tanggal Bukol, Luslos, Bingot, atbp.”). In addition to these surgical services, the program also offered medical, dental, and vision screening for the community.

The event was held at the Barangay Holy Spirit Complex and the Barangay Hall of Payatas in Quezon City. Dr. Philip Punsalan, the President of the Hospital on Wheels, and Dr. Jim Sanchez, the Program Coordinator, led the initiative.

The Light for All Foundation’s role in this event was to raise dental awareness among the 400 participants. The foundation provided educational information on proper dental care and distributed dental kits to all attendees, helping to promote better oral health within the community.
