Bringing Healthcare to the Heart of Sipalay: A Successful Medical Mission
The Light for All Foundation recently concluded a successful three-day medical mission, serving three communities in Sipalay, and Bacolod. This initiative took place at Sipalay National High School, Caragena Elementary School, and Nabulao Elementary School, in partnership with Thanksgiving Australia.
Our dedicated team included:
- 3 General Practitioners
- 4 Dentists
- 3 Optometrists
- 1 Podiatrist
- 1 Pediatrician
- 1 Physiologist
- 3 Pharmacists
Together, we were able to provide essential medical services to 1,380 patients over the course of the mission. Each patient received a comprehensive health assessment, consultation, and the required medicine.
The Light for All Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to Sipalay Mayor Hon. Maria Gina Lizares and the Sipalay Health Center’s team, led by Dr. Florencio O. Juplo. Their support was invaluable in making this mission a successful event. The mayor’s office provided a nutrition van and sound system, while the health centre contributed by allowing 11 nurses and 3 additional doctors to be part of the medical mission team. In addition, the centre has provided two Dental mobile Clinics to ensure that we were fully equipped to address the needs of the community.
This medical mission highlights the importance of collaboration with local authorities in addressing healthcare disparities. The Light for All Foundation is committed to continuing our efforts to serve underserved populations and improve health outcomes in the communities where we exist.
