Supporting Tacloban’s Health Needs: A Community Mission

On April 8 -11, 2024, Light for All Foundation organized a medical mission in Partnership with Barangay 23, St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Local Volunteers, Dr. Samy Erian, an Australian General Practitioner and Dr. Sameh Gad, a Canadian Dentist. This mission was focused on addressing the general health and dental health needs and providing sustainable support through direct interventions and community engagement.

For this mission, our team catered a total of 244 patients for the 4 days mission in the Light for All foundation Center in Tacloban City. There were 104 patients who availed the general check-ups and 140 patients for the Dental Check-ups and Extractions. The mission was conducted in Brgy. 23 where the LFA center is located. We helped the people from various barangay in Tacloban.

The medical mission has made an important contribution to the City of Tacloban. By reaching out to the different barangays to provide the immediate health needs of the stakeholders and residents of Tacloban City. Moving forward, the collaboration with the City Government and Barangays are essential for the success of this mission.
